Making Matgraph Better

There are many capabilities that I would like to see added to Matgraph. I encourage you to create your own Matgraph functions and to send them to me for possible inclusion in future releases of Matgraph. Here is a "wish list" of functions I would like to see.

• A better version of distxy for creating embeddings. The current version gives acceptable results but is too slow and relies on the Optimization Toolbox.
• Functions for detecting planarity and creating planar embeddings of graphs.
• Additional vertex coloring algorithms for the color function.
• An edge coloring algorithm that colors the graph using at most max(deg(g))+1 colors.
• Functions for computing connectivity and edge connectivity (and finding minimum vertex and edge cut sets).
• A GUI tool for creating and editing graphs with the mouse.

In addition, many of the existing functions can be improved, so better code for any existing Matgraph function is welcome. Finally, if you have any requests for new functionality in Matgraph, please let me know.
