- (Section 1.7) A 30 volt electromotive force is applied to a series circuit in which the inductance is 0.1 henry and the resistance is 50 ohms. Find the current i(t) if i(0) = 0. Determine the current as t approaches infinity.
- (Section 1.7) A 100 volt electromotive force is applied to a series circuit in which the resistance is 200 ohms and the capacitance is 0.0001 farad. Find the charge q(t) on the capacitor if q(0) = 0. Find the current i(t).
- (Section 2.12) Consider an LC series circuit with L = 0.1 henry, C = 0.1 farad. An electromotive force, E(t) = 120 sin kt volts, is applied. Find the steady state current when k does not equal 10. Explain why your solution would not apply when k = 10.
- (Section 2.12) Consider an RLC series circuit with R = 10 ohms, L = 1/2 henry, C = 1/100 farad. An electromotive force, E(t) = 150 volts, is applied. Find q(t), the charge on the capacitor if q(0) = 1 and i(0) = 0. What is the charge on the capacitor after a long time?
