Student Paper Award
Each year, students are invited to submit research papers for the annual student paper award. Here are some rules that apply to this competition:
- Submitted papers should be authored by Johns Hopkins students with at least one being student in the AM&S department.
- Papers written by students prior to enrollment in Johns Hopkins as graduate students are not eligible.
- Multiple-authored papers are allowed.
- Papers should represent original research by the student in an area of applied mathematics.
- Papers are reviewed and scored by a panel of recent AM&S PhD's and AM&S faculty.
- The AM&S Academic Affairs Committee recommends an awardee to the Department Chair based on the panel's reviews.
- In any given academic year, submissions should be submitted as a single pdf file to:
student_paper_award@ams.jhu.edu
by Friday noon before the week of Spring break.
