Summer Internships
Having passed one (or more) of the actuarial exams, students can gain extensive first-hand experience in the world of actuarial science by serving as an actuarial intern. An ideal time to do this is during the summer between the Junior and Senior years, but many firms will hire Sophomores (especially those who have passed one of the actuarial exams).
Summer internship experience enhances your skills and makes you more attractive to prospective employers, many of whom explicitly look for internship experience when hiring for permanent jobs.
